Strathallan Community Rail Partnership

What is a Community Rail Partnership or CRP?

  • A grass-roots organisation which aims to link local railways with the communities it serves.
  • Consists of representatives from local community groups such as Community Councils, Business Improvement Districts, local councillors and other key stakeholders.
  • Works with the rail industry, Tayside and Central Scotland Transport Partnership [TACTRAN] and local authorities to help market the line and to improve stations, train services, bus links and access.
  • Serves a geographical district, with shared needs and aspirations, linked to the railway.
  • Works with local organisations and businesses to maximise potential benefits of location, line and community.
  • Creates and champions plans and programmes which engage with the rail industry to promote and market initiatives offering clear benefits aligned to long term community objectives.

We strive to bring together the local community with a wide range of interests along our stations routes. The SCRP is one of over 50 Community Rail Partnerships in the UK.
